Deafblind awareness week logo

Once again FESOCE celebrated the Deafblind Awarness International Week simultaneously with the Helen Keller Foundation Deafblind Awareness Week.

Former American President Ronald Reagan recognized Deafblindness as a handicap in June 1984. Since that time, the Heller Keller Services for the Blind has held a number of events during the last week of June to raise awareness of this handicap and to encourage social consciousness among the broader public.

In order to reach the public and demonstrate the issues we encounter every day, the members of FESOCE also organised a number of actions across Spain.
