The European Platform on Deafness, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblindness decided to hold a discussion about the Board’s recent advancements at the European Disability Forum on June 19, 2013.
The primary goal of the meeting, excluding the EDF election, was to discuss the critical information regarding the most recent developments of the European Disability Forum (EDF) Board Elections and the strategy regarding the draft of the European Accessibility Act, which was released by the Commission last September. The Platform will prioritize this issue and make every effort to ensure that the suggestions it makes will be effective, particularly for the rights of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafened, and Deafblind individuals, their families, and friends. This decision was reached by unanimous vote.
The Platform meets usually every six months.
