Conference at European Parliament about deafblindness “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”
The Conference/Deafblind Awareness Day “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much”, which will take place on June 5th 2018 from 12.30 am till 14.30 pm, at European Parliament, Brussels.
This, 2018 is the year in which world celebrates deafblindness (on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Helen Keller). For this purpose in co-operation whit European Parliament representatives, Mrs. Helga Stevens (ECR), Mr. Adam Kosa (EPP), Mr Ivica TOLIĆ (EPP) and MS Dubravka Šuica (EPP), European Deafblind Union and European Deafblind Network (EDbN) is organizing thematic conference on deafblindness, which will, among others, gather the most important European institution representatives and European decisions makers. It would be an honor and a privilege to have you present (as a speaker – if addressing speakers) to witness this, for our future, historical and critical moment together with us.
EDbU has been working hard on the subject and many people whit deafblindness are motivated to participate. On the part of EDbN we need to also give our best support. For this reason, I get in touch whit you. Humbly I ask you for your support. It is very important that Families with their children do an act of presence this day in Parlament in Brussels and talk about our point of view.
What do we need?
1) Disseminate this information (see the notice at footer) among all the related organizations, families and volunteers asking them to participate despite the difficulties they can experience.
2) If possible, give some financial support to families who want to participate but really cannot afford it.
For registration: delegates or individuals have to fill in the Registration Form attached and send it to Mr. Tamás Gangl to the email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
The registration form must be sent no later than 14th May 2018. It’s not possible to accept registration after the deadline.
